Dear AP Dr Fadzil,
 
On behalf of the ESTCON chair, I would like to request your office to distribute this information to the ESTCON participants from UTP, specifically the postgraduate students who are participating at ESTCON 2014 on 3-5 June 2014.
 
Only registered participants with ESTCON tags are allowed to enter the ESTCON venues (throughout Level 3 and Level 4 of KL Convention Centre) during the event, on 3-5 June 2014. Only participants with ESTCON tags are allowed to take the F&B, including the coffee breaks, lunches and dinners.
 
The KLCC Convention Centre staff and ESTCON secretariat will refuse entry to anyone without the ESTCON tags to these areas used by ESTCON 2014.

Instructio​ns on paper presentati​on in BAPC - 14 to 16 May, 2014

Dear all,

Please adhere to the following rules and guidelines:

1.       Dress code: Official office attire. Traditional costumes are not allowed.
2.       Schedule: Please check and confirm your time, date and session.
3.       Presentation time: 10 minutes
4.       Q & A time: 5 minutes
5.       File upload: at the beginning of the session. For example from 9:00-10:30, all files must be saved in PC prior to first presentation.
6.       Participation: All presenters at respective sessions must attend. Attendance will be recorded.
7.       Punctuality: Must be there at least 15 minutes before your session starts.
8.       Lecturer no show or late: examiners will be replaced by appointed PG students.
9.       Presenter no show or late: Results will be ZERO. Reassessment will be considered upon appeal.

Note: I am looking for more RCS and RPD assistance for this event.
Please register your name with Mr Mohanad and then come introduce you to me at the event.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF TRACK, DATE AND VENUE OF BIANNUAL POSTGRADUATE CONFERENCE 2014 PRESENTATION (EE DEPT)

Dear respected postgraduate students,
Please be advised that the Biannual Postgraduate Conference (BAPC) for the January 2014 semester will be held on 14th May 2014  16th May 2014. This conference is meant as a platform for postgraduate students to present their research progress in a conference environment and also as part of the semester’s assessments.
Attached is the track of the event including the venue and time for all papers which have been submitted to us for your kind reference.
Reminder:
1)      Presenters are required to be punctual
2)      Maximum number of slides : 15 slides
3)      Presentation and Q&A session : 15 minutes
Failure to attend and present at your designated session without any prior approval from CGS may place you in a PROBATIONARY status. As such, please take note and kindly remind your other postgraduate colleague in case they did not receive or alert to this email.

Poster Session for ICIAS 2014

Dear Students,
Please check your papers below and we would like to inform you that your papers have been selected for the POSTER session for ICIAS 2014, which will be held at 10:00am – 11:00am, Day 2 – Wednesday (3 June 2014) at the Foyer of Level  4.
Some instructions for poster session.
Poster Exhibition: 
All exhibitors are responsible to print their own poster material(s) at their own costs.
Poster materials must be printed on a single A1 sized paper.
Poster exhibitors are responsible for setting up and dismantling their poster material at the time allocated.
Poster exhibitors are requested to be on standby at their respective poster sites during Poster Q&A session.
So you are advised to start preparing your poster now. To streamline the look of all posters and to assist your preparation, we have prepared a poster template (as attached). Once you have completed the final version of your poster, you can see En. Musa to print out your poster (En. Musa please advise the deadline for printing). Each paper is allowed 1 time printing only so please ensure that you submit the final version. Do complete the poster in good time and avoid any last minute printing.
